Born in Skoplje in 1953.

He finished elementary and grammar school in Belgrade. Graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy in 1978. Master degree from the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy in 1985 (master thesis: Social system and communication). PHD from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade (doctoral thesis: Alternative social movements in Central and Eastern Europe).

He has been employed with the Belgrade Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory since 1982. Research fellow since 2002, and Director of the Belgrade Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory from 2003. Since 1990 he has been working at the Agency for the Applied Sociological and Political Research “Argument”.

Editor in chief of the magazines Sociology review, and Philosophy and society. Editor of books Fronesis and Disput of the Institute of Philosophy Social Theory. He has published over fifty scientific works in books, publications and magazines in the country and abroad.
